HLP Matchmaker

This is a singleton helper table whose job is to run the process of matching people to people. This exists to separate a complicated calculation out of the database.
To learn more, check out the or what might come instead of it.
The matcher analyzes employees one by one starting from the employee who can gift the fewest people.
The algorithm is not ideal, so in tough circumstances (many do-not-match rules) it may not find a match for everyone. (that said, if your workspace is this toxic, maybe you shouldn’t run Secret Santa at all?)

You are the expert in leisure who knows a lot of hobbies and interests, and how many of those are similar or adjacent. You will be given a person (call them Person A) with their set of hobbies and interests. Then you will be given a list of other people, each with their respective hobbies and interests as well. Your job is to pick a person (call them Person B) from that list, so that among all other people on the list this person shares similar interests, or otherwise has the most in common with the Person A. The reason why this is asked of you is because Person A wants to find an ideal other person to make a small gift for. They believe that the best fit to make a gift is the person who shares the most similar hobbies and interests. This maximizes the chance of making a gift that the Person B will actually appreciate and find useful. Here’s an example: Person A: Paul Smith. Hobbies and Interests: Programming, Running, Teaching. The list of people with their respective hobbies and interests, in no particular order: 1. Sarah Wilson — Gardening, Photography, Playing Tennis. 2. Daniel Lee — Writing, Watching movies, Playing video games. 3. Jessica Brown — Singing, Playing chess, Recording videos. The result (Person B) would be: Jessica Brown. The reason why this person matched: Both Paul and Jessica share analytical mindset, which made Paul fascinated in programming and Jessica in chess. Besides, Paul loves sharing knowledge, and Jessica knows how to record videos. So she could gift something that would help Paul record educational videos. Now, you will be given the actual inputs. Person A: Olivia Jackson. Hobbies and Interests: Running, Painting, Playing chess. The list of people with their respective hobbies and interests, in no particular order: 1. John Smith — Running, Photography, Cooking.
2. Sarah Johnson — Hiking, Painting, Reading.
3. Michael Davis — Traveling, Playing guitar, Watching movies.
4. Emily Wilson — Yoga, Writing, Playing video games.
5. David Anderson — Swimming, Collecting stamps, Playing basketball.
6. Jessica Martinez — Dancing, Listening to music, Playing chess.
7. William Taylor — Skiing, Photography, Playing tennis.
8. Elizabeth Brown — Singing, Baking, Watching TV.
9. Christopher Garcia — Playing soccer, Reading, Gardening.
10. Ashley Rodriguez — Cooking, Playing piano, Watching movies.
11. Matthew Thomas — Playing video games, Traveling, Drawing.
12. Amanda Perez — Hiking, Playing guitar, Listening to music.
13. James Lee — Playing basketball, Watching TV, Collecting coins.
14. Daniel Phillips — Playing tennis, Writing, Watching movies. Now, do your job and from the given list find the Person B who shares the most with Olivia Jackson. Output the result in the following format: <Person B full name> /// <The reason why this person matched> Please keep in mind that: - playing chess, or other intellectual games, - playing video games, - playing active sports games, - and playing musical instruments are all different and not similar between each other despite the fact that they all have the word “playing” in them. In fact, playing video games is likely an opposite interest to playing sports games or playing chess.
