Now that we’ve identified the problem, let’s spend some time sketching potential solutions. The goal is to generate as many ideas as possible in a short amount of time.

Each person should have paper & pencil or digital whiteboard to sketch their thoughts.

Create a subpage in this doc for each person in the group (e.g.

). This is your personal space to take notes, test ideas, drop in images, or organize your thoughts.

Follow the exercises below to generate ideas.

At the end of the exercises, add your best ideas to the

table and take turns presenting your sketch.

Finally, vote as a group on the best sketches.

Freeform notes: Jot down notes in your personal space around ideas you’ve had, examples of other products that inspire you, or key points you want to include in your sketches.

Crazy 8’s: Take a sheet of paper and fold it 3 times to get 8 boxes. Set a timer for 8 minutes, and in each of the 8 boxes sketch a slightly different solution to the same problem.
