2. Support your planning process

Simplify and improve the actual process of planning using your new OKRs doc.

In the last section of the tutorial we built an OKR document with a table for your objectives, and one for key results. And those tables are interconnected. We added another table to model your companies team structure and then added custom views for teams and for individuals.

In this section of the tutorial we will focus on a different aspect of building a great OKR doc - we will show you how to have the OKR doc support your organization along every step of the planning process, following the

M-shaped planning process⁠

. We will start at the top down guidance phase and not reflections, because for reflections, you need to have completed a planning cycle worth of OKRs in Coda.

Many of the things you learn in this section of the tutorial - like how to support decision making with Coda, 2-way writeups, etc - will be useful beyond OKR planning.
